In the 21 st century, it is necessary for healthcare practitioners to be aware of and adhere to foundational codes of ethics in the workplace regardless of the advancement of technology. While telehealth has opened doors for more accessible client care, it also introduces a set of ethical challenges that Social Workers and other licensed healthcare professionals must navigate thoughtfully. Addressing these challenges is essential to maintain the integrity of the therapeutic relationship and uphold professional standards.”(ASWB, 2024) As healthcare professionals, we must also become familiar with concepts of AI and how to incorporate best practice AI models into the prevention,treatment, and recovery work we do in the healthcare field.
