About This Training

In an age where the emergence of AI has profoundly impacted our world and especially in the healthcare field, we must familiarize ourselves with ethical and legal issues and its impact on treatment. According to Reamer (2025), “AI comes with noteworthy ethical challenges and legal risks that are necessary for healthcare professionals to be aware of as we embark on the utilization of AI models to provide HIPAA complaint treatment to our clients. Ethical issues around informed consent, privacy and confidentiality, plagiarism, etc. are worthy of further examination of how we inform and protect client information.

Learning Objectives:

·      To be familiar with a brief history of artificial intelligence and key concepts.

·      To be aware of AI use in behavioral health field.

·      To identify and explain an overview of key ethical issues, challenges, and legal matters that are associated with treatment.
