According to Reamer (2025), “AI comes with noteworthy ethical challenges and legal risks that are necessary for healthcare professionals to be aware of as we embark on the utilization of AI models to provide HIPAA complaint treatment to our clients. Ethical issues around informed consent, privacy and confidentiality, plagiarism, etc. are worthy of further examination of how we inform and protect client information.
